A little bit about me…
I live with my partner, my 11-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old boy who has become a very important part of our family. We enjoy family days out and exploring new places together. Northumberland is one of my favourite places, having spent many childhood holidays there. In my spare time, I enjoy being by the coast and hunting for sea glass and pieces of pottery. At school, I love helping children grow in confidence and making learning fun, creative and memorable.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I love how such a simple story can inspire so much learning, and it’s one the children can quickly join in with and enjoy.
My favourite thing to do in school is…
Bringing learning to life! One of my favourite things to teach is the life cycle of a butterfly. We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, act out each stage of the life cycle, and then we even watch our own caterpillars grow and change before releasing the butterflies together.
