Meet Our Teacher
This is Mrs McPherson. She is one of the Year 1 teachers.
Mrs Breen and Mrs Shaw help her to teach the children. In Year 1 we have lots of fun whilst we are learning. Have a look at some of the photos below to see some of the things we do.
We have a very creative time in Year One. We learn about different styles of art as well as studying different artists.
In Year One we are very lucky to have a Forest School session once a week. We use this outdoor learning space to enhance our learning in Science, Art, Design Technology and Geography as well as enjoying being in the forest!
We also have Commando Joe sessions with Nicole (our sports coach). These are all about working as a team to solve problems (practically). We have PE once a week too with Nicole. We learn gymnastics, games and dance.
We go out of school and visit interesting places and have visitors.
We love to read in Year One. We celebrated reading on World Book Day.
We love all subjects! Here we are learning in science, maths and music.
