Our whole school sport’s day event is planned for the afternoon of June 28th at 1.30pm. This will take place on the field at Consett Junior school and family members are welcome to attend. Remember to bring a rug or camping chair to sit on. Please note in the event of bad weather this event may be cancelled.

Miss Edward’s class will be visiting Consett Leisure Centre on 2nd May to take part in a Multiskills Festival. Please be aware the activity will take place outdoor. It will take place during school time so children will be collected at school at 3.15pm. Please ensure children are at school on time, have a water bottle with water and come to school dressed to take part in physical activity (jogging bottoms / leggings, t-shirt and appropriate footwear). Ofsted report 20-21 March 2018.

We are very pleased that our school has been judged as being “Good” in all areas of the Ofsted framework.

Our staff and governors have worked extremely hard during the last two years to meet the recommendations made in the previous Ofsted report.  We are particularly proud that we have achieved this without losing focus on what matters to us most of all – the emotional well-being of the children and the provision of a broad, exciting and stimulating curriculum that motivates them as learners.  This will always be more important to us than a relentless focus on targets and data.
